It is 82 years old, quality based ayurvedic company. B.Com, M.B.A and M.Phil students were taken to the visit. Various ayurvedic raw materials were shown to the students. Product process, Packing and despatching were observed by the students. This trip induced the mood of entrepreneurship to the students. Dr.M.Mary Anbumathy, Head of Commerce Department organized this industrial trip. |
| 2 | FIELD TRIP TO NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE FOR BANANA - 02.01.2019 B.Com and M.B.A students went to field trip to National Research Centre for banana on 02/01/2019. National Research centre for banana was started in 1993 and celebrated its 25th year. It functions as farmers friend. Students visited farms and gathered knowledge regarding crop production, protection and marketing. Various value added things from banana were viewed by the students. Export procedures were also explained by experts to the students. |

- 02.01.2019 PG & Research Department of Commerce organized a work shop on “ONLINE STOCK TRADING on 28.11.2018 The function began with “Thamizh Thai Valthu”. Dr.T.Gayathri, Asst. Professor, Department of Commerce, welcomed the gathering and introduced Dr.V.Selvaraj, (Retd. Professor of Commerce), Nehru Memorial College, the Resource Person of the workshop Dr.A.R.Ponperiasamy, Principal, in his presidential address, briefly introduced the Resource Person Dr.V.Selvaraj and motivated the students to have a interactive session with him. Dr.A.R.Ponperiasamy, Principal, honoured the Resource Person Dr.V.Selvaraj, (Retd. Professor of Commerce), Nehru Memorial College, by adorning him with shawl. Dr.V.Selvaraj, Resource Person, clearly explain the students about the Stock Market Practices through online. He also explain the students how to invest in stock market by properly identify the suitable company. Students showed keen interest by actively listening to the lecture and raise lot of questions and clarify their doubts. They also gave their positive feedback about the programme and also expressed that they were very much benefitted and able to know lot of information about Share Market Practices. Staff members of the Commerce Department were also presented. Dr.I.Sumathi, Assistant Professor of Commerce proposed vote of thanks and the function came to an end with National Anthem. |

IN BRIDAL FLOWER DECORATIONS AND SAREE TASSELS" - 07.12.2018
- 02.01.2019 PG & Research Department of Commerce organized one day programme on “Young Women Entrepreneurial Training in Bridal Flower Decorations and Saree Tassels” by 10.30 a.m. on 07.12.2018. The function began with “Thamizh Thai Valthu”. Dr.T.Gayathri, Asst. Professor, Department of Commerce, welcomed the gathering and introduced Mrs.Hemakrishnamurthy, Skill Trainer & EDP Trainer Fashion Tech., National Skill Training Institution, Trichy, the Resource Person for the one day training programme. Mrs.Hemakrishnamurthy, explain in detail about the flowers suitable for Bridal Flower Decorations and the materials need in this regard. She clearly demonstrate the student and give them hands on training for preparing flower decorations for bride. Er.Pon.Balasubramanian, President and Dr.A.R.Ponperiasamy, Principal, by their presence motivated and encouraged the students to get proper hands on training, so that they can become a good Bridal Groom Decorator. |
| 4 | RALLY TO CREATE AWARENESS OF NATURE CONSERVATION - 28.07.2018 B.Com students went on rally on 28/07/2018 to create awareness among the public with regard to nature conservation. The rally was inaugurated by Dr.A.R.Ponperiyasamy, Principal. Students met the public and created awareness not to use plastic, how to harvest rain water. How to save trees and how to protect our nature. After the rally is over various competitions were conducted for students in nature conservation topic. Winners were distributed with prizes. |
