College Annual Day Celebration – 2025 (Self-Financed Stream)

The Annual Day celebration of the Self-Financed Wing of Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti, was held on Tuesday, 25th March 2025.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr. M. Meenatchisundaram, College Coordinator, followed by the presentation of the Annual Report. The presidential address was delivered by College Chairman, Mr. Pon. Balasubramanian. College Secretary, Mr. Pon. Ravichandran, extended his greetings and congratulatory remarks. College committee member Mrs. Mala Balasubramanian and Director of the Skill Development Training Centre, Mr. P. Surya, were present and added prestige to the event. College Principal Dr. A. Venkatesan and Vice Principal Dr. D. Th. Tamilmani also conveyed their best wishes.

The highlight of the event was the keynote speech by the special guest, "Diary Saka," a well-known personality from Trichy Hello FM. In his motivational address, he advised students that in order to succeed, they must ignore criticism and avoid getting discouraged by what others say. He encouraged them to boldly speak on stage, whether right or wrong, without hesitation. Referring to writer Sujatha’s “Ten Commandments,” he emphasized that following such principles can lead to success. His interactive session with students, including singing meaningful philosophical songs from cinema, added enthusiasm and inspiration to the event.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. R. Mathivanan, Director of the Commerce Department. The event was compered by Mr. S. Prabhakaran, Head of the Tamil Department, and Mr. T. Prakash, Professor of English. Over 2,000 students participated, making the occasion vibrant and memorable.
