ONE DAY SEMINAR ON “PERSONAL BRANDING THROUGH GOAL SETTING”

The Department of Management Studies, Nehru Memorial College (Autonomous), Puthanampatti, organized a One Day Seminar on “Personal Branding through Goal Setting” on February 20, 2026, at 2.00 PM in the ICT Hall 1. The seminar aimed to provide students with insights into building a strong personal brand and aligning career success through effective goal-setting strategies.

Objectives of the Seminar

• To create awareness about personal branding
• To highlight the importance of goal setting in career development
• To motivate students towards self-development
• To enhance students’ professional competencies

The programme commenced with a warm welcome delivered by Mrs. S. Priyadharshini, Convenor of the seminar. She welcomed the Chief Guest, president, Secretary, Principal, Vice-Principal, coordinator, faculty members, and students. She emphasized the relevance of personal branding in today’s competitive environment. Er.Pon.Balasubramanian, President addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of developing a unique identity, professional ethics, and clarity in career goals. The Secretary of the College delivered the Felicitation Address. He appreciated the Chief Guest’s valuable insights and encouraged students to apply the concepts shared during the seminar.

Chief Guest Introduction The Chief Guest, Dr. V. Sekar, Secretary and Director, Suguna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, was introduced to the audience.

Dr. V. Sekar delivered an insightful and engaging keynote address on “Personal Branding through Goal Setting.” He elaborated on:

• Meaning and significance of personal branding
• Strategies for building a professional image
• Importance of SMART goals
• Self-discipline and continuous learning
• Role of attitude, communication, and networking

He motivated students with real-life examples and practical career guidance. Student Interaction

An interactive session followed, where students actively participated by raising questions regarding career planning, skill development, and personal growth. The Chief Guest clarified their doubts and provided valuable suggestions.
