
The Stakeholders Meet – College Connect Program, organized by Magic Bus India Foundation, was held on 23.03.2026 at Hotel Blossoms, Kanjana Towers, Trichy. The program witnessed active participation from representatives of around 15 colleges, with a total of nearly 50 participants attending the session.
From our institution, Dr. A. Kasthuri, Dean of Placement, Dr. A. Boopathyraja, Associate Dean, Dr. R. Kabilan, Associate Dean and Ms. S. Jayasri, Placement Assistant, actively participated and contributed to the discussions.
The session was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. E. George Dharma Prakash Raj, Professor and Head, School of Computer Science, Bharathidasan University, Trichy . In his insightful address, he emphasized the rapidly evolving and transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in today’s world, particularly in education and employment sectors. He pointed out that AI has the potential to automate many subject-oriented and knowledge-based tasks, especially those involving routine analysis and theoretical applications. However, he stressed that AI cannot replace human roles in areas requiring physical activity, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and stress management. He further highlighted the importance of equipping students with soft skills, adaptability, and mental resilience to remain relevant in the changing job market.
At the outset, Mr. Vishweshwar, Deputy General Manager of Magic Bus India Foundation , briefed about their schemes and various initiatives carried out through CSR projects. This was followed by Mr. Vijay Thangaraju, Placement Officer , who explained the upcoming placement activities and life skills training programs.
During the feedback session, Dr. A. Kasthuri conveyed her sincere appreciation to the Magic Bus team for their sustained association with our institution over the past two years, during which more than 1500 students have significantly benefited from their training initiatives. She particularly acknowledged the effectiveness of their well-structured ice-breaking sessions, which played a vital role in enhancing student confidence, engagement, and overall participation. She further emphasized the necessity of extending such training programs to II UG students without any restrictive conditions, thereby enabling early exposure to essential employability skills. In addition, she proposed the allocation of a dedicated Placement Assistant from the Magic Bus team to our institution, in order to strengthen the effective implementation, coordination, and sustained monitoring of training activities, thereby ensuring improved outcomes for students.
Dr. R. Kabilan, emphasized the importance of strengthening students’ technical skills to enhance employability. He specifically highlighted the need for focused training in areas like Oracle and suggested providing hands-on technical exposure to meet industry requirements.
Participants from other colleges also shared their valuable suggestions and experiences during the interactive session.
The program concluded with a note of appreciation, wherein the organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to NMC Management for their unwavering support, generous cooperation and warm hospitality extended during the training programs conducted on our college campus. They also appreciated the Management’s continuous encouragement in promoting student development initiatives. Further, the Placement Team was appreciated for their dedicated efforts, effective coordination, and continuous support in organizing and executing the training programs successfully.
