Data Vision Day 2K26 - 14-03-2026
The Department of Data Science at Nehru Memorial College successfully organized “Data Vision Day 2K26” in the Seminar Hall at 10.00 a.m., providing students with an engaging platform to explore the latest advancements in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
The Chief Guest, Mr. I. Johnson, Managing Director and CEO, Shalom Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Trichy, inaugurated Data Vision Day 2K26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the grand commencement of the event.
The President encouraged students to continue their journey with the same hunger and passion they displayed during the exhibition. He emphasized the importance of developing real-time solutions. He also announced financial support of up to ₹25,000 for students who wish to pursue higher studies at MAHSA University, Malaysia.
During the keynote address, the Chief Guest, Mr. I. Johnson, Managing Director and CEO of Shalom Info tech Pvt. Ltd., Trichy, appreciated the efforts of the students in developing innovative data science projects. He advised the students to explore job portal websites such as Naukri.com to understand industry requirements, job roles, and responsibilities. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening basic concept sand continuously upgrading technical skills to meet the demands of the IT industry.
The Data Vision Day 2K26 – Data Science Project Exhibition was observed and appreciated by Mr.I.Johnson, Chief Guest, Mr. Suriya, College Committee Member, Dr.V.Priya, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science &AI ML, Dr.D.Jayachitra, Director, MCA Department, Dr. P.Neelanarayanan, Principal Incharge of Nehru Memorial College and Dr. M. Meenakshisundaram, Coordinator, whose support played a crucial role in the success of the event.
A key highlight of the event was the exhibition of 31 innovative projects by Data Science students, showcasing applications in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The exhibition attracted over 100 students from various departments, providing them with a platform to interact, gain insights, and enhance their technical knowledge.
During the Valedictory Session, Mr. Surya Balasubramaniam, Treasurer and College Committee Member, appreciated the innovative projects presented by the students and encouraged them to continue applying data science to real-world problems.
Dr. D. Jayachitra, Director, MCA Department, motivated the students by advising them not to stop with these projects but to continue developing them further and explore more advanced ideas in the future.
Dr. V. Priya, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and AI &ML, congratulated the students for their excellent work and emphasized the importance of undertaking multidisciplinary projects that combine knowledge from different fields to create impactful solutions.
In Data Vision Day 2K26, three projects were selected by the jury members as best and certificates are awarded.
The event concluded with a formal feedback session and a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Jayahari.V, III B.Sc Data Science, Coordinator of Data VisionDay2K26, who expressed gratitude to the management, chief guest, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support.
The overwhelming response from students contributed to the grand success of Data Vision Day 2K26. The management appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and assured continued support for future initiatives focused on skill development and industry-oriented learning, reinforcing the commitment to fostering a data-driven learning environment.
