The PG & Research Department of Zoology of Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti conducted a special lecture on 28/07/2016. Dr.B.Ashok Kumar, Associate professor, School of Biotechnology, Madurai was the chief guest of the occasion. He explained in derail on folic acid deficiency disease and Thiamine deficiency disease. He also enlightens the genetic causes for vitamin deficiency. He offered suggestion for the prevention of such deficiency diseases and he also emphasized that proper diet. The Students are highly beneficial and motivated by his talk. While Dr.N.Ramesh, Assistant Professor of Zoology welcomed the gathering, Dr.T.Jayaprokasam, Principal, presided over the meeting. At the end of the programme Dr.K.Saravanan, Assistant Professor of Zoology proposed a vote of thinks. Ms. Komalavalli of second M.sc Zoology was the master of Ceremony of the programme.
