Three Days Workshop on Food and Beverage & Carving - 20th September to 22nd September 2017

The Department of Hotel Management & Catering Science organized a three days workshop from 20th September to 22nd September 2017, on "Food and Beverage Services & Carving" at the ICT Hall, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti.

The workshop started with prayers on the 20th and inaugurated by the Principal Dr.A.Pon Periyasami. The Departmental Head Mr.N.Narendrakumar welcomed the gathering and Dr.T.Jayaprakasam, Former Principal felicitated the first day event. The resource person, Mr.R.Ranjith, Chamis - Carlton, Kodaikanal, a former student of the department was honoured and demonstrated the technical aspect of "Cocktails" and "Mocktails" The day ended with national anthem.

Second day Technical Session began with demonstration of vegetables and fruit carvings. Later, the resource person facilitated the students of the department to engage in carvings. The carvings session continued on the last day till afternoon. Thereafter the carved exhibits were exhibited in the Seminar Hall before the Valedictory function.

On 22nd September, Valedictory functions started afternoon 2.30 p.m. Head of the Department Mr.N.Narendrakumar welcomed the gathering. Principal of the college Dr.A.Pon Periyasami presided over the function. Honorable Secretary, Pon.Ravichandran felicitated the event and praised the workshop initiative and congratulated the department. Honorable President, Er.Pon.Balasubramanian in his valedictory address expressed his excitement and congratulated the alumni who are an asset and inspiration to the future experts. Students gave their feedback and complimented the event. Dignitaries together distributed the certificates for the participants and Mr.Suresh of II year HMCS proposed vote of thanks and the event ended with national anthem.
