To welcome 1348 new comers joined the Nehru Memorial College Puthanampatti this academic year, Fresher's day was celebrated at the college campus. The Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, N.K.Senthamarai Kannan was the chief guest at the fresher's day. Secretary Pon.Ravichandran presided over the function, Principal T.Jeyeprakasam welcomed the gathering and Dean A.Prabaharan highlighted the various initiatives of the college for the development of the students and teachers.
An intercollegiate cultural competition was held on 31.01.2017 at our college auditorium. There were 13 Colleges from in and around Tiruchirappalli participated enthusiastically. The winner of interdepartmental cultural competition (15 students of Zoology department) of our college participated in the said competition and won the Second prize and received the Cash Award Rs. 15,000, with a Trophy.
