Recent Activities 2018-2019

Training and Placement

Separate Cell has been established with one full time staff in- charge to look into the placement activities. The objective of this cell is to identify the talented students of this college and offer guidance to choose a bright and right career. It acts as an interface between the Corporate world and the students in order to bridge gap between them.

The cell comprises Placement Coordinator- Dr.R.Manimekalai, Placement in-charge - Thiru. R.Jayaraman, and a student representative.

The activities of the cell include the following.

  • Counselling and guiding the students
  • Providing job information to students
  • Personality development
  • Collecting the data base of the students and compiling them for use when needed
  • The cell facilitates the students to improve their skills to face various competitive examinations such as Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC and TNPSC
  • Placement cell organizes frequent meetings to plan their future
  • The main function of the cell is to invite reputed companies to the campus to conduct campus interviews, and help them to select suitable candidates for suitable jobs.
  • The cell also provides information regarding higher education.
  • The Placement Cell also extends its service by offering various trainings to the students on personality development and career development skills etc.
  • The data base of the students is managed by the cell, which plays an important role in getting jobs for the alumni.
  • The cell provides information regarding job opportunities available in the job market through its notice board, E mails, and brochures.
  • The cell brought many entrepreneurs from various major organizations to the campus to communicate with the students on various job opportunities and to explore industry expectations etc.
  • We are proud to share that major companies like TVS Motors Ltd, Chennai, Soft Square Solutions, Chennai, UNISYS, Bangalore, IDBI Federal Bank, Coimbatore, HDFC Bank visited our campus for recruitment.

  • Along with excellent guidance provided by placement cell, the cell helps students in securing a job after course.
During (2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016) many students were recruited through placement cell and we are expecting to place many more students in the current year 2016-17. The placement of students is conducted through campus recruitments and off - campus recruitments. Apart from this, the placement cell also organized various programmes to promote useful inter-action with industries.

The Placement Cell of our College conducted an Orientation Programme on 31-08-2013. The Special Guest Thiru. Ronak Asrani IAS Aspirant, Trichy Plus, Trichy spoke on "Career Opportunities for PG Students".

The Placement Cell of our College conducted an Orientation Programme on 8-1-2014. The Special Guest Thiru. V.Hemachandran, Director, Entrant Solutions Pvt Limited, Trichy spoke on "Employability Skills for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students".

The Placement Cell of our College organized One-day Career Orientation Programme on 9-9-2014. The Chief Guests Mr. Balaji of Macon's System technologies, Trichy and Mr.K.Mohanavel, Business Operator and Head of Microsoft Partners, Bangalore delivered special lectures on "Current IT Scenario".

The Placement Cell of our College organized One-day Career Orientation Programme on 20-9-2014. The Chief Guest Mr. Somasundram, M/S Jockey Knitwear Industry, Bangalore spoke on "Business Development".

The Placement cell of our College organized a Career Orientation Programme on 28-11-2014. The Chief Guest Mr. V. Nadankumar, I.R.S., Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Trichy spoke on "Employability for UG and PG Students in various sectors". Next Mr. Gopinath of 4U in U Company gave aptitude test and study skills to the students. Mr. Lenin spoke on "Time management, Stress management, Team work, Interpersonal skills" Next Mr.Abdul Vasieem Akram spoke on "The Techniques to achieve the Goal".

Department of Economics in association with Placement Cell of our College organized One-day Career Orientation Programme on 12-12-2014. The Chief Guests Mr.P.Duraisamy, B.Sc., B.L., CAIIB, Branch Manager, Syndicate Bank Puthanampatti, Trichi Dist, delivered special lectures on "Recent Technical Changes in Banking Sector".

The Placement Cell of our college organized a Career Guidance Programme for final year UG as well as PG Students on 17-07-2015. Thiru. N.Muralidharan, Regional Joint Director (Employment) Trichy presided the meeting. Thirumathi .P.Tamil selvi , Deputy Director, District Employment Exchange, Trichy spoke on "Overseas Manpower Corporation of Tamil Nadu" . She spoke on Overseas employment opportunities and the procedure for applying overseas. Thiru. P.Murugesan, Assistant Director, Adhidravidar and Tribes Training & Guidance Centre, Trichy spoke on "Employment Opportunities in Private Sector". In his special address he illustrated the opportunities available in private sector. Dr. R.Rajaganapathy, District Employment Officer, District Employment Exchange, Trichy spoke on "How to get through IAS Examinations". Thiru.P.Velmurugan , Junior Employment Offficer, Trichy spoke on "Effective participation in Competitive Examinations". Over 1150 students participated and got benefitted by this prog ramme.

Placement cell of our College organized Career orientation program on 9-10-2015. The Chief guest Mr.Savankumar Jagthev IAS, Deputy Collector of employment and Mr.Muralitharan, Joint Director of employment, Trichy delivered a lecture on "Career opportunities for UG Students".

On Campus and Off - Campus Placement

D. Ajay kumar and P. Balasundaram of III B.A Economics, K. Tamil Selvan, A. Kanagaraj and M.Sathish Kumar of III B.Com were selected at Mega Job Fair held at Agni School of Business Excellence, Dindigul on 28 th December 2013.

Placement Cell of our College conducted Campus Interview on 28-01-2014 by T.V.Sundharam Motors Ltd, Chennai. Mr. Shri Kisore Kumar, HR Manager and Mr. Balakrishanan, Sales Executive conducted an interview and 24 students were selected.

The Placement cell of our college organized a Campus drive on 23-1-2016 through M/S Source HOV. Mr.Balaji (HR) and Mr.Purushothman , Technical co-ordinators were the chief guests. Eighty Students were selected.

The Placement cell of our college organized a Campus drive on 27-1-2016 through M/S UNISYS, Bangalore. Mr.Thimmegowda & Mr.AmishBhalla, were the guests. Five Students got selected.

The Placement cell of our College organized a Campus drive on 29-1-2016 through Soft Square Solutions, Chennai. Mr.Vetri vendhan, Mr.Subash kumar & Mr.Suresh kumar were the guests. Four Students were selected.

Off-Campus Interview was organized by the Ramakrishna College of Engineering, Samayapuram through Vee Technologists, Bangalore. Out of 32 candidates participated 10 students were selected. Mr.Kokulan & Mr.Sathish kumar were the guests.

The Placement cell of our college organized a campus drive on 17-2-2016 through IDBI Federal Bank, Coimbatore. Mr.Sarun & Ms.Shibika were the guests. Twenty two Students were selected.

The Placement cell of our college organized a campus drive on 19-3-2016 through HDFC Bank, Fifty students were selected.
