GENDER CLUB was inaugurated in our college on 24 th September 2005 at 10.30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall by Dr. N. Manimekalai M.A., Ph.D., Director, Centre for Women Studies, Bharathidasan University, Trichy. Prof. R. Manimekalai, HOD of Economics is the Coordinator of Gender Club in our college.
A meeting was organized by the Gender Club at 10.30 a.m. on 8.9.2007. The Chief Guest Dr. N. Manimekalai, Director, Centre for Women Studies, Bharathidasan University delivered a lecture on "Gender Equality".
Gender club of our college organized Self Help Group Product Contribution Cum Sale in our college premises on 8.9.2007 and 9.9.2007.
Gender Club of our college organizes Self-Help Group Products Exhibition Cum Sale for Women Entrepreneur Association of Tamil Nadu (WEAT) members, Trichy every month in our College premises. It also arranged to display the products of WEAT Association members Trichy in the One-day workshop organized by the Department of Economics in association with Syndicate Bank, Puthanampatti Branch in our College premises on 18.11.2009. Many meetings were organized to create awareness about Gender equality and Women empowerment.
