The PG and Research Department of Computer Science has organized a seminar on "Industry-Institution: Expectations and Realities" on 2nd March 2015. Mr. Giridharan Gopalsamy, Vice President, Senior Development Manager, iNautix techonologies India Pvt Ltd, Chennai delivered a key note address.
He held an interactive session and explained the skills expected by the industry from the students. He emphasized that the students must improve their problem solving and analytical skills and they should master the basics concepts. He further stated that the communication skill is very much essential in an IT Industry. So everyone must improve their writing and speaking skill in English.He opined the students may from various clubs where they can practice these activities. He advised the students to compare the concepts learned with real life problems. Students should learn time management and they should clearly specify their future goals. He told that people who dream and work for higher positions in their life only can succeed.
Earlier the program was presided by Dr. T. Jayaprakasam, Principal, Nehru Memorial College and Er. Pon. Balasubramanian, President, College Committee, Nehru Memorial College felicitated the students. Prof. M. Muralidharan, HOD, Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. At the end of the program Ms. P. Kalpana, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science proposed vote of thanks. Ms. K. Ponvel Azhagu Lakshmi, Assistant Professor in Computer Science coordinated the programme.
