PG & Research department of commerce organize a Guest Lecture on “Consumerism” by 10.30 a.m. on 16.10.2018. The function began with “Thamizh Thai Valthu”. Dr.M.Mary Anbumathy, Asst. Professor & Head , department of Commerce, welcomed the gathering and introduced Dr.D.Fennala Agnes Iylin, Asst. Professor of Commerce, Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), Puthur, Trichy, the Resource Person for the Guest Lecture. Dr. T. Gayathri, Asst. Profesor of Commerce, honour the Resource Person, by adorning her with shawl. Dr. D. Fennala Agnes Iylin, the Resource Person, clearly explain the students about the meaning of consumer, customer and the difference between them. She also briefed why consumer, customer and the difference between them. She also briefed why consumer is called as the “King of Market”?. She also motivated the students on consumer awareness, how consumer to be aware from exploitations and various consumer laws pertaining to consumer protection. Students showed keen interest by actively listening to the lecture and also gave their positive feedback about the programme and also expressed that they were very much benefitted and able to know lot of information about consumerism. All the staff members of the Commerce Department were also presented. Dr.I.Sumathi, Asst. Professor of Commerce proposed vote of thanks and the function came to an end with National Anthem.
