A two day Faculty Development Training Programme on “Machine Learning Techniques” was organized by the Department of Data Science on 30th & 31st August 2019. This FDTP started with welcome address by Mrs. S. Mala. Dr. A.R.Ponperiyasamy, Principal, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti presided over the function. The chief guest Dr. U. Srinivasulu Reddy, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli felicitated the gathering and handled a session on “Fundamentals of Data Science & Current research trends in Machine Learning Environment”.
Mrs. S. Mala, Assistant Professor, Department of Data Science, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti gave a note on “Machine Learning Fundamentals, Applications & Opportunity of Machine Learning”. Ms. P. Kalpana, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Nehru Memorial College gave “Hands on Training in Python”. On the second day Mrs. S.Mala, Assistant Professor, Department of Data Science, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti lead the session with python implementation on “Regression Analysis”. Ms.P.Kalpana, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti discussed about “Classification Techniques” using python.
Dr. G. Devasena, Teaching Faculty, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli delivered a session using python on “Clustering Techniques”.
Scholars and faculties from various colleges actively participated in this FDTP. It was a highly interactive and effective session followed with the practical implementation of the machine learning techniques in python. At the end, Ms. M. Swathi, Assistant professor, Department of Data Science welcomed the gathering and Mrs. S. Mala, Assistant professor, Department of Data Science, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti coordinated the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
