The Department of Computer Science has organized a two day workshop on "Mobile Application Development using Android" for the faculty members of Computer Science on 10th and 11th June 2019. Mr.P.Velmurugan, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti have served as Resource Person for the workshop. In the first day, he discussed the introduction about Android, structure of an Android project, creating a simple application, image slider application and implementation of animation. Notification generation, storing the data using shared preferences and database interaction with SQLite were discussed in Day 2. Also, he provided extensive hands on training for the faculty members. 21 members from the department of Computer Science and Data Science were participated in the two day workshop and interacted with the resource person.
Earlier the programme was inaugurated by Dr.A.R.Ponperiasamy, Principal, Nehru Memorial College. Dr.D.Jayachitra, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Mrs.K.Ponvel Azhagu Lakshmi, Assistant professor of Computer Science proposed vote of thanks. Dr. D.Jayachitra , Assistant Professor of Computer Science has organized the entire programme and finally the day was ended with National Anthem.
